1979 Oct. Fuel-saving engine system YICS developed.
Jun. Yamaha's first Land Car marketed.

1977 Nov. Yamaha Hokkaido Mfg. Co., Ltd. (present Yamaki Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) entered full operation.
Jun. Total motorcycle production reached 10 million mark.
  Jan. Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA founded.
 
1975 May. Sportsland SUGO opened.
Apr. Yamaha's first golf kart marketed.
 
1974 Aug. Yamaha Shido Works Co., Ltd. constructed.
Mar. Four types of new swimming pool marketed. Membership-type recreation complex "Tsumagoi" opened.
 
1973 Dec. Yamaha won manufacturers World Championship in 250cc Motocross for the first time.
Won the Japanese National Trial Championship for the first time.
