2000 Feb. Yamaha "24 Siesta," family cruiser with luxurious livability unequaled in it's class newly released.
Jan. Yamaha "JW-II" electric power-assist unit for wheelchairs wins 1st Prize in "7th Mellow Grand Prix" Liquidation and withdrawal from GHP (Gas Heat-Pump Air- conditioner) operati ons and strengthening of CV and ATV operations and merger consolidation of electrical parts subsidiaries implemented.
 
1999 Dec. Yamaha motorcycle production starts in Vietnam.
All nine Yamaha sites won ISO14001 certification for environment management systems.

1994 Oct. Contract signed in China to form new joint venture company Jiangsu Linhai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. for the manufacture and sales of motorcycles.
