career history: Started racing in 1992. Turned professional in 2002 riding for the Motorex KTM Team. After riding for them for 2 years I then raced for Serco Yamaha for three years until 2007.

Person you admire and why:  Jeremy McGrath – I think everyone admires him. His style of riding was unreal and everyone wanted to be like him.
If you weren’t a professional racer what would you be doing:  Most probably labouring
Favourite holiday destination and why:  A town called 1770 It’s a beach up near Gladstone and Miriamvale. Its quiet and one of the nicest cruisiest places Ive been and is unreal to spend time with the family and friends.
One thing in the world you could not live without and why:

If you were down to your last $10 what would you spend it on Probably some fuel to put in my bike so I could ride.
Who would you like to sit next to during a long plane trip an why:  My girl Mon, I can talk to her for hours and never get bored.
What would be your ultimate road car:  Chrysler
When you are not racing or practicing where can you be found:  Shops, at home relaxing cause there’s not much time to do that at all

How old were you when you first started racing: 

Eight

Why did you first become involved in racing:  My brother and Dad used to ride on the farm so I started as well and then one day my brother and I decided to give racing a go. I guess I just had the bug and loved riding and tried to be competitive.
How did you get to be a professional racer:  A lot of practice and hard work. It doesn’t just happen. It takes time and it’s hard to stay a professional once you get there.
Favourite part of being a professional racer: It’s got to be one of the funnest jobs in the world
Worst part of being a professional racer:  Hard to make a living sometimes
Advice to individuals wishing to become involved in the sport: 

Keep it fun. If you’re not having fun you shouldn’t be doing it.

Goals for the future:  Stay involved with the sport as much as possible and do as much as I can. I still want to be Australian champion one day.
What do you recommend as a healthy breakfast:  Cereal, yoghurt, fruit
What do you recommend as a healthy lunch:  Chicken sandwiches
What do you recommend as a healthy dinner:  Vegies, pasta, Chicken or Beef
What activities do you recommend individuals do to keep fit:  Any kind of very active sport or riding pushbikes
As a racer, what difference does it make to you when you are fit and healthy:  The races are so much easier to finish. Its great to still have energy after a race
What equipment do you wear when you are riding your bike:  Helmet, boots, armour, nylons, jersey, gloves, CTi2 knee braces
Why is it important to wear the appropriate equipment:  Because it does look cool and you can never be too protected
What should you do to prepare your bike for a race:  Make sure the tyres are good and all bolts and nuts are tight and it’s fuelled up. Maybe make some suspension adjustments for the track you are riding on.
What should you do to prepare yourself for a race?  Warm up, do some stretches have plenty of water and food to be hydrated and your body has fuel.
Where should you ride:  Any local motocross club tracks that are open.
What should you look out for (from a safety point of view) when riding:  Other bikes, obstacles which you may not be comfortable with
