What did you get in trouble for as a kid? Throwing a brick at my brother Shayne, he still has the scar and reminds me regularly!
How do you spend your Sunday mornings when not racing? Family time, usually watching TV with my twin girls.
Fave music? Anything really.
Pets? None, sometimes we have pet lambs for the girls.
Who do you admire and why? Anybody who is successful from working hard.
Any siblings? 3 brothers Damien, Jason and Shayne.
Funniest moment? Getting stuck in the middle of nowhere practising in Belgium in 1993.
If you could have one super power, what would it be? Invisibility.
Lifestyle Questions:
How did you get started with motorbike racing? I first rode a bike when I was 3 and started racing when I was 9.
Who was your greatest encouragement / inspiration in turning pro? Rick Johnson, Team Honda factory rider from the US.
How much time do you spend on the bike? During my heavy training phase I ride almost everyday, but not more than three days in a row.
What has been your favorite race and why? Winning the Belgium GP in '97, beating Smets and Bartolini fair and square plus holeshotting both motos that day.
What's your favorite part of being a pro racer? The travelling, especially on planes.
What's the worst part? Driving home from Auckland airport on a Monday!
What's your five year plan? Racing is addictive and I feel like I am only getting stronger, I would like to race pro for 2-3 more years.
