| How did you get started with motorbike racing? |
I first rode a bike when I was 3 and started racing when I was 9. |
| Who was your greatest encouragement / inspiration in turning pro? |
Rick Johnson, Team Honda factory rider from the US. |
| How much time do you spend on the bike? |
During my heavy training phase I ride almost everyday, but not more than three days in a row. |
| What has been your favorite race and why? |
Winning the Belgium GP in '97, beating Smets and Bartolini fair and square plus holeshotting both motos that day. |
| What's your favorite part of being a pro racer? |
The travelling, especially on planes. |
| What's the worst part? |
Driving home from Auckland airport on a Monday! |

Racing is addictive and I feel like I am only getting stronger, I would like to race pro for 2-3 more years. |
