Dream come true for Ross

9 Mar 2011

In October 2007, Ross Green’s life changed forever. That’s when the young bloke from Palmerston, ACT was diagnosed with T-Cell Leukemia.

His condition was so aggressive that for some time doctors didn’t know if he would recover. But during this tough time he held onto his dream of owning a brand new Yamaha TT-R230.

Now thanks to the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the team at Joe’s Motorcycles, working in conjunction with Yamaha Motor Australia, Ross’s dream has came true. The 16-year-old was recently presented with his new dirt bike and a complete set of safety gear.

Because Ross had never ridden a bike before, the Starlight Children’s Foundation registered him with the team at ACT based adventure group Mountain Trails who provide riding courses for beginners. He went off to a special camp for three days to learn some great skills. Turns out he’s a natural and he made some amazing new friends and skills.

Ross’ positive nature and fighting spirit got him through the Leukemia. He is now 16 years old and in remission, and has thankfully been given a good prognosis. Looks like the bubbly and bright personality will be enjoying his Yamaha for many years to come.
