One of the most respected names in high performance engine oils, YAMALUBE has confirmed its full backing of the 2011 Aussie Racing Cars Super Series.
During the off season the Aussie Racing Car factory technicians have undertaken an exhaustive evaluation of many engine lubricants available on the market and are now proud to confirm that all cars will be factory filled with YAMALUBE oils and fluids.
The 2011 season has kicked off in the biggest way possible with Round one of the Aussie Racing Cars Super Series being staged recently before a bumper crowd of over 270 thousand people at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. The big event included the launch of the exciting new YAMALUBE Racing Team with its new Toyota Aurion piloted by Masters cup contender Mark Clements. The tough looking Aurion is finished in gleaming jet black paintwork with the contrasting YAMALUBE signage emblazoned along the sides, the sparkling new machine was a real stand out hit with the fans at the track.
“Clipsal was a very challenging event for our Team as the car was brand new and we had only one test session under our belt before getting in to full competition’, said Mark Clements, ‘I am however delighted with the performance of the car at the event, it felt absolutely fantastic. During last season I was able to get the Falcon within striking distance of the front of the pack so I am confident that the new car is going to give me the ammunition I need to have a real assault on this years Masters Cup Championship”.
The Aussie Racing Cars factory has chosen the YAMALUBE range of products as their preferred engine lubricants and fluid supplier. YAMALUBE engine oil not only provides optimum protection for the Aussie Racing Cars use under the most severe racing conditions but it also maximizes peak engine horsepower and performance whilst substantiantially extending the life of the gearbox and wet clutch assembly.
“Aussie Racing Cars have always been fitted with YAMAHA engines but with the addition of Mount Panorama Bathurst to our event program this year we needed a superior engine protection system, considering the high speeds and engine revs the cars will achieve on this world famous circuit, YAMALUBE has provided us the answer” Commented Aussie Racing Cars Managing Director, Brad Ward. “YAMALUBE is the lubricant brand of the YAMAHA Motor Corporation and is recommended for all YAMAHA engines so it makes perfect sense to have it protecting the engines of our pocket rockets as they scream to 11,500RPM at over 230kph down Conrod straight”.
Greg Haring, Sales and Marketing Manager, YAMAHA Genuine Parts & Accessories is equally excited about the new association with Aussie Racing Cars: "Yamaha Motor Australia are delighted to be involved in the Aussie Racing Cars Series, we see it as an ideal platform to help expand promotion of Yamaha's own range of YAMALUBE engine oils and Care products. YAMALUBE has been for many years heavily involved in racing around the world and support our Factory MotoGP and World Superbike Teams, along with National Race Teams such as Craig Dack Racing and Ballard's Off-road Teams here in Australia. We see the support of the Aussie Racing Cars as the next logical step, and a great opportunity to promote the YAMALUBE brand to a large cross over group of core motorsport enthusiasts, and the fact that all cars are running YAMAHA engines, and will now also be running YAMAHA's own engine oil specifically designed by YAMAHA for the XJR1300 engine allows for a perfect match. YAMALUBE looks forward to a long and successful association with Aussie Racing Cars"
All Aussie Racing Cars use a stock standard YAMAHA XJR1300 engine and gear box unit prepared to genuine YAMAHA specifications and serviced only with YAMAHA genuine spare parts. The cars are rev limited at 11,500RPM and produce 125BHP. Weighing in at just 450kg’s the pocket rockets have a top speed in excess of 230kph and launch from 0-100kph in a touch over 4.5 seconds. The amazing road holding of these cars is reflected on one of the fastest corners at Bathurst, Griffins Bend at the top of Mountain straight where they achieve a staggering 2 x G’s of lateral grip. This is even more amazing when it is compared to a V8 Supercar which produces around 1.8 x G’s on this same corner.
Don’t miss seeing the thrilling Yamalube Racing Team in action when it appears at Round 2 of the FW1 Aussie Racing Cars Series at Mount Panorama Bathurst over the Easter long weekend 22-24 April 2011.
