NSW YJR’s Brendon Walther has claimed the Shell Advance Dirt Action Amcross series victory along with the Margaret Watson Trophy for Highest Junior Male point scorer for the series.
Brendon piloted his YZ 85 to the overall victory in the 9-u12yrs 85cc/150Fcc class with consistent performances throughout the six round series. Strong results at the final round over the weekend also earned him the Margaret Watson Trophy awarded to the highest point scoring junior Male rider for the series.
“Amcross has been fun this year, it was great to finish the series strong and to win the Margaret Watson trophy was a big bonus! I’m looking forward to heading to the Aussies in a few weeks.”
Fellow YJR NSW team mates Jordan Bissaker and Mackenzie Tricker chose to sit out the final round and focus on preparations for the upcoming Australian Junior Motocross Championships. Both riders had missed rounds earlier in the series due to injury and date clashes after a round was postponed due to rain.
NSW Yamaha Junior Racing would like to thank the following supporters: Yamaha, Fox, Motul, Pirelli, GYT-R, JT Sprockets, Oakley, RK Chains, Y-AIM and Tee’n’Cee Grafix
