CDR Yamaha Off Road Ready to Go for Enduro-X

31 Jan 2014

Chris Hollis will make his CDR Yamaha debut while last years’ Australian off road champion, Daniel Milner, will be out to pick up where he finished off in 2013, as the new off road season gets under way this weekend at Archerfield Speedway, in Brisbane, for the opening round of the National Enduro –X Championships.

Hollis and Milner will both be mounted on the new and exciting Yamaha YZ250F for round one of the Enduro –X championships. The tight nature of the circuit and the challenging obstacles means that rider skill, bike durability and good old fashion man handling of the machine is necessary and both riders are confident the light and nimble, yet powerful Yamaha will get the job done.

Combining elements of off road, supercross and even trails, Enduro – X is an enthralling spectator sport and the YZ250F is the perfect choice for this style of event.

“To have a series like this to start the year is awesome as Enduro-X draws plenty of spectators, makes for great racing and the atmosphere is always good at these events,” states Hollis.

“It’s also important for myself and the team to get a good relationship going in a race environment and to shakeout any off the off season cobwebs before the AORC gets underway. I like this kind of racing and hope make it a successful start to my time with the CDR Yamaha crew,” he ends.

Milner is back with the CDR Yamaha team and while making the step up to the bigger bikes for the AORC and A4DE, he still loves charging around on the YZ250F and is looking forward to getting the season under way.

“I have a bit of a soft spot for the YZ250F after such a successful season on one last year,” Milner explains. “This new bike is amazing and the bike I will be on this weekend is basically standard as I couldn’t fault it during testing.

“Enduro-X is fun but all the big names in off road will be competing in the three round series so I’m taking it seriously and will be out to get another championship for myself and the team.”

Action gets under way this Sunday morning at Archerfield Speedway. For more information on the event and the championship, www.enduro-x.com.au
