Courtney Knight in top form with another win at Go Girls MX

Courtney Knight Wins Round Two of QLD Go Girls MX

18 May 2010

Courtney Knight from the Queensland Yamaha Girls Team added another win to her expanding resume at the conclusion of the second round of the Go Girls Series.

Knight (Team Moto Yamaha Moorooka) had a flawless performance at the Chinchilla circuit in the Senior Women’s Class, taking all three hole-shots and moto wins with ease, re-affirming her newly crowned Queensland Champion status.

The current win lengthens her lead in the series points.

“I really enjoyed the racing this weekend, the track came up well after the mud in practice and I really had fun riding it.”

“The Go-Girls Series has always been enjoyable for me.  I like the ‘all-girl’ atmosphere.   It wasn’t that long ago I was coming through the junior classes in this series, and looked forward to riding in seniors with the older girls.”

“The series has grown a lot in that time, and it’s good to see a steady future for our sport.”

QYGT team-mate Tamara gray (Bayside Yamaha) relinquished her second place standings in the series, after a bout of tonsillitis prevented her from making Sunday’s event.

The Go-Girls Series now takes a break until October when round Three (Tivoli) and Four (Kilcoy) are scheduled.

However the girls will be working harder than ever with the recent announcement of the date for the Australian Women’s Motocross Championships, also scheduled for October in Victoria.

QYGT would like to thank their sponsors; Yamaha, Team Moto Yamaha Moorooka, Bayside Yamaha, Fox, Motul, Alpinestars, Kustom MX, Ico-o-tonic Slush, Dirt Bike Chix, RK, Polisport, Ferodo, Hiflo Filtro, Urky MX, Moto Developments and Quality Excavations.
