Dyce Dominates Gippys for VIC YJR

15 May 2013

The Bairnsdale Motocross club hosted round three of the Shell Advance Gippsland Centre Champions over the weekend with Vic YJR rider Cody Dyce turning on the action on board his Yamaha YZ85cc.

Cody Dyce was the only team rider for this round as Jed Beaton was still on the mend from his wrist injury sustained at round one of Victorian Championships. Cody competed in the 12- 15 years 85cc class and was out to make every post a winner.

So far in this series Cody won round one at Maffra convincingly, winning in all three motos but was defeated at round two at Wonthaggi, so Cody was super keen to get back to his winning ways after his last round.

Cody was able to start in the top five in each moto and was soon in the lead by the end of the first lap. Dyce went on to win all three motos on the day by comfortable margins making it another round clean sweep for the young charger.

“I really felt I had something to prove to myself after the last round and I was super hungry to win,” Cody explains. “The track really changed from start to end of the day to go from fairly loamy to hard and I was able to read the track and pick lines really well today."

"I had my brand new 2013 YZ today which ran really great, my SPMX -FOX shocks Suspension was working really great as well which made it a fun day to go racing," he signs off.

Team Manager, Cameron Taylor was on hand to assist Dyce and said. “I was really happy with Cody's effort today. He picked his lines well and made quick passes to get to the lead and win all his races. Cody's next race will be next round of Victorian Motocross Championships so I hope he carries this momentum to that race.”
