Casey Adams | Industry Young Gun

Loving Life at The Helm of Inverell Boating Centre

At just 23 years old, Casey Adams is defying the typical image of a marine dealership owner. With a background in farming and a lifelong passion for all things mechanical, Casey’s journey into the marine industry combines personal passion with business expertise.

“Even though I’m relatively new to the marine industry professionally, it’s always been a big part of my life,” Casey explains. “I grew up around the water—fishing, water skiing, and working on my own boats. That hands-on experience gave me an appreciation for the industry and a passion to be part of it.”

Casey’s path to becoming a dealer principal shows his adaptability. “I come from a farming background and stepped into management roles at a young age,” he says. “That taught me leadership, communication, and how to get the best out of a team—skills that have proven invaluable in running a marine dealership.”

His background also nurtured a self-reliant, problem-solving mindset. “Living in a remote area meant when something broke down, we couldn’t just call someone in—we had to fix it ourselves. That mechanical know-how has transferred directly into the marine industry, where quick thinking and a get-it-done attitude are essential,” he adds.

One of Casey’s proudest achievements has been introducing Yamaha to Inverell Boating Centre. “Bringing in the Yamaha brand completely transformed the business,” he says. “It elevated the shop’s appearance, professionalism, and reputation. Sales and service work have grown beyond what I expected.”

He’s quick to credit Yamaha’s partnership for that success. “The support from Yamaha—from training to marketing to technical advice—is something money can’t buy. It’s been one of the most positive decisions I’ve made for the business,” Casey notes.

Casey is also quick to highlight the human side of dealership life. “For me, the most enjoyable part of being a marine dealer is the customer service side—being able to provide a great experience and build a strong reputation around town,” he says. “There’s something really rewarding about hearing positive feedback and knowing that people appreciate the work we do.”

Casey’s enthusiasm for his customers’ passions mirrors his own love of the water. “My job is literally what people do for fun,” he laughs. “Helping them get the most out of their time on the water doesn’t feel like work when you’re doing what you love.”

Looking ahead, Casey is eager to grow the dealership. “My plan is to expand into a full-service operation—stocking a wider range of boats and engines, creating a larger showroom, and maybe even building a new shed,” he says. “With Yamaha’s backing, I’m confident we can keep growing and offering even more to our customers.”

Casey Adams’ energy, passion, and commitment to Yamaha Marine products are steering Inverell Boating Centre into a bright future.
