  • How big is the Fazer?

  • How much can the Fazer carry?

    The Fazer can lift up to 40kg payload

  • How long can the Fazer fly?

    The Fazer can fly for up to 90 minutes with a payload, dependent on airspeed and weather conditions. 

  • Is the Fazer battery powered?

    No. The Fazer UAV is powered by a 390cc, two cylinder piston engine. This is what allows it to have both high lift capacity and long flight endurance. 

  • Does the Fazer use jet fuel or AvGas?

    No, the Fazer uses standard 98 octane unleaded petrol.

  • Can I buy a FAZER?

    No. Due to the high capability of the Fazer UAV, there are strict trade restrictions in place. The exact location and usage of the aircraft must always be known by Yamaha Motor Australia. 

  • How do you fly the Fazer?

    The remote pilot uses a radio transmitter to operate the aircraft from the ground. Pre-programmed flights can be sent to the aircraft to perform automatic missions. 

  • What is the Fazer used for?

    The Fazer is primarily used for agriculture, weed spraying, pesticide application and bait application. 

  • Do you need a licence to fly the Fazer?

    Yes. Due to the size of the Fazer helicopter, the operator must have a Remote Pilot's Licence with a type specific rating for the Fazer. It must also only be operated under a Remote Operator's Certificate that includes the Fazer UAV. 

  • Where can you fly the Fazer?

    The Fazer can be flown in Australia, within the limitations set out by CASA. To fly outside of these limitations, specific approvals must be obtained prior to any flight or operation.
