Two-Day Hands-on Dealer and Staff Event
Yamaha Motor Australia’s Land Mobility team recently swapped the office for rugged bush terrain, inviting staff and dealers to take part in the Yamaha SSV Experience at Lithgow. The two-day event was designed to showcase the strength, versatility, and fun of Yamaha’s Side by Side Vehicle (SSV) range, and it delivered in spades.
Hosted at Central West Rock Ridge, the event drew more than 100 staff and dealers. All 12 Yamaha SSV models were on hand, ready to tackle three specially designed courses that combined hill climbs, steep descents, rocky trails, and bog holes. Participants could jump behind the wheel themselves or ride along with expert drivers to experience the vehicles’ capabilities from the passenger seat.

For many staff, it was the very first time piloting an SSV, while for dealers it was a rare opportunity to drive the complete Yamaha lineup in one place. The hands-on nature of the day highlighted the distinct strengths of each model, from hard-working utility machines through to performance-focused recreational vehicles.
The event also featured the introduction of four brand-new 2025 models: Wolverine X2 1000 R-Spec, Wolverine RMAX2 1000 Sport, Wolverine RMAX2 1000 XT-R, and Wolverine RMAX4 1000 XT-R. Together with the established Viking, Wolverine, and RMAX ranges, Yamaha demonstrated a full spectrum of capability—whether it’s tackling demanding farm jobs, offering all-day comfort and power, or delivering adrenaline-charged fun off-road.

Matthew Ferry, General Manager of Sales and Marketing Land Mobility, said the event was the result of months of planning and preparation by his team. “This event has given everyone the chance to experience firsthand the strength and versatility of Yamaha’s SSV vehicles. It’s days like these that highlight how Yamaha continues to innovate and lead the way in the off-road market, and how we’re finding new ways to connect both staff and dealers to our products.”
The Yamaha SSV Experience not only expanded product knowledge but also delivered plenty of Kando—proving that Yamaha’s Side by Side lineup is as practical as it is exciting.
