WHAT IS THE DEFECT?
The accelerator pedal return spring may break during use and the accelerator pedal may not return when released.
WHAT IS THE HAZARD?
Risk of serious injury from collision if the accelerator pedal doesn’t return when released and the vehicle doesn’t slow down as expected.
WHAT IS THE REMEDY?
To correct this defect, Yamaha has initiated a Factory Modification Campaign, whereby affected models must have the accelerator return spring replaced.
WHAT TO DO?
Consumers are requested to contact your local Yamaha Dealer to set up an appointment to have the accelerator return spring replaced free of charge.
