Yamaha’s FX WaveRunner series continues to redefine what’s possible in a luxury high-performance personal watercraft.

With a strong reputation in the touring, family, fishing and endurance racing scenes, the feature-packed FX Series combines big capacity horsepower, luxury performance and innovative technologies, all packaged in stunningly good-looking watercraft. 

For 2022, the best-selling luxury-performance personal watercraft series returns with significant enhancements that further distance the Yamaha FX Series from its competition.

New features include a 7-inch (SVHO models) or 5-inch (HO models) full-featured infotainment system with a glass colour touchscreen, premium factory-installed audio speakers with smartphone integration, built-in GPS system, upgraded Drive Control with Auto Trim and a modified hull for a more comfortable and dryer ride.

With these great new features and strong colour options across the range, the hardest decision will be choosing which model to buy.

All FX models come with Yamaha’s factory-installed, custom integrated Bluetooth marine audio system, which includes twin, powerful 4.5-inch fully waterproof marine speakers, integrated 2 channel (50 watts per channel) amplifier, easy access control pad and an integrated low-voltage regulator to protect the battery.
All 2022 FX models come with either a larger 7-inch (SVHO models) or 5-inch (HO models) glass touch screen, with increased brightness and visibility; new screen and audio touch pad controls; GPS functionality; all-in-one Bluetooth phone, text, voice activation and music connectivity; and enhanced Auto Trim, top speed and acceleration settings.

The all-new built-in GPS system allows you to add and follow waypoints; create, record and save tracks; and accurately track your speed. For extra safety, the geofencing feature allows you to set a virtual boundary for learner riders, alerting the rider when they have gone beyond the set boundary. Maps purchased separately.

The all-new FX glove box is not only larger, providing 16.5 litres of useable storage, it also includes a dedicated smart grip phone holder, USB and 12V power outlets and blue LED illumination to make finding your belongings easer in low light.
The handlebars are sleeker and more ergonomic with smaller control boxes and integrated single Start/Stop button switch. The steering column can be adjusted up or down for different riding styles. Two tie hooks have been added to either side of the steering column, for easier tying up to docks. 
For improved comfort and handling, especially in heavier seas, the sponsons have been moved forward 50mm and the ride plate angle increased for additional nose lift.
