The inaugural Ténéré 700 Four Day Rally, organised by our Destination Yamaha partners RideADV, is a GPS navigation-style event exclusively for Yamaha's Ténéré 700.
The starting point for this year's ride is Wauchope Showground. Sign on and scrutineering will be held on Saturday, 8 May from 10am–4pm, this will be followed by the welcome dinner. Riding will take place Sunday to Wednesday 9-12 May, arriving back in Wauchope on Wednesday afternoon.
Each full day of riding will be followed by an informative workshop with special guests, including Yamaha legends Stephen Gall and Rod Faggotter.
Day 1 - Wauchope to Coffs Harbour (300-390km approx.)
Day 2 - Coffs Harbour to Glenn Innes (TBAkm)
Day 3 - Glenn Innes to Tamworth (460-490km approx.)
Day 4 - Tamworth to Wauchope (470km-490km approx.)
All participants will require a GPS device that can be loaded with GPX files.
Each morning the RideADV lead riders will head out before the group to check the route. The riding group will then be followed by some of the best sweep riders in the business. All Ride ADV sweep riders are first aid qualified and mechanically trained. The support vehicles will be close by if required.
In addition to the picturesque off-road routes being planned, there will also be regular break out sections for those looking for an extra challenge.
A support truck will carry your luggage/camping gear to and from the overnight stays, all you need to do is ride.
