Join us at Phillip Island

With a big presence in both WorldSBK and ASBK the bLU cRU is set to be busy at Phillip Island on 24 to 26 February. For the first time since 2020, the WorldSBK season starts at this iconic venue, where Yamaha lines up with its biggest contingent of riders yet.

The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team has an all-new-line-up for 2023, featuring two-time World Supersport Champion Dominique Aegerter, as well as 2021 Moto2 World Champion and local talent Remy Gardner (above right). The event will mark Gardner’s WorldSBK debut as he makes the switch from MotoGP.

Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK will remain unchanged for the 2023 season, continuing with 2021 World Champion and 2022 runner-up Toprak Razgatlioglu, and teammate Andrea Locatelli who was World Supersport Champion in 2020. Yamaha Motoxracing and GMT94 Yamaha are also fielding YZF-R1-mounted teams this year.

Meanwhile, the Australian Yamaha Race Team returns to the ASBK paddock featuring current Australian Superbike champion Mike Jones and teammate Cru Halliday. Check out the fast and furious action – and then see the showroom version of the YZF-R1 up close at the event’s expo tent.

YMA has a selection of accessorised 2023 models on display and will have a wide range of merchandise on sale. Plus our bLU cRU trainers will be running kids come-and-try fun bike rides on a purpose built inflatable track outside the expo tent.

So if you are heading to the Island, make sure you come and say hi and book in your groms to test ride a Yamaha dream machine under supervision from our Oates MX trainers. And don’t’ forget to ask about rider autograph signings at the YMA stand. We look forward to seeing you on the Island for a jam-packed action weekend!
