Riding For A Cause With The Black Dog Institute
Yamaha Financial Services teams across Australia are joining forces to support Black Dog Institute. Throughout March, employees armed with Yamaha YDX-Moro 07 e-MTBs will be cycling to raise funds and awareness for mental health.
The initiative, conceived by Nicola Rogheto, National Sales and Marketing Manager for Yamaha Financial Services, aims to create team unity while backing a crucial cause. Talking about the project, Nicola emphasised the significance of addressing mental health issues, citing statistics that reveal suicide as the leading cause of death among Australians aged 15-44.
"With this campaign, we're not only promoting a healthy lifestyle but also addressing a pressing societal need," he explained. The initiative aligns with Yamaha's commitment to supporting health and well-being while also working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.”
The fundraising campaign kicked off recently at Lizard Log Park in Western Sydney, where teams embarked on a mission to log as many kilometres as possible by 28 March. Each kilometre cycled will move the teams closer to their fundraising goals while also raising awareness about mental health issues.
Representatives from the Black Dog Institute cheered on participants, highlighting the institute's efforts to mitigate the impact of mental illness on individuals, families, and workplaces.
