Daniel Attia has received one of the best Christmas presents a motorcyclist could wish for, a shiny new 2020 YZF-R1.
The 30-year-old from Schofields NSW scored the awesome prize by topping the fundraiser leader board for the 2019 Ride Sunday event. In addition to raising a healthy sum of money for his chosen charity, the Movember Foundation, Daniel also scored himself the most technologically advanced production Yamaha motorcycle ever built.
“I’ve never won anything at all, so to win a new 2020 Yamaha YZF-R1 is incredible,” Daniel said when he arrived at Yamaha Motor Australia head office to claim his prize.
“I’ve never ridden an R1 before so it should be an interesting and exciting experience - I can’t wait.”
Daniel has been taking part in the annual Ride Sunday event since its inception to show his support for men’s health initiatives. “It’s a subject that needs to be discussed more openly to help men feel more comfortable about identifying and seeking treatment for health issues at an early stage rather than allowing the condition to fester and deteriorate.”
