After attending some intensive training camps with team coach Greg Moss and the Edge High Performance Centre in December and early January the team will be racing at King of the Mountain in the Taranaki and then will be partaking in the first ever Go Girl Racing Australia Coaching Clinic to encourage more NZ Female participation in the lead up to NZ Woodville GP Oceania Challenge.
Charli Cannon 14yrs old is Australia’s current Female champion on both 85ccBW and 125cc and produced equally fast lap times as her male competitors, while Brooke Ball 8 years old is QLD Champion in both 50cc and 65cc, both girls winning all races in all classes.
Aimee Butler 15yrs will be riding a YZ250F and is currently SA Female Champion including being nominated for rising star award in SA Motocross for second year running.
Charli will be representing Yamaha on the YZ250F while Brooke representing Yamaha on the YZ65.
It’s been a huge team effort by GGRA, Yamaha Australia and Yamaha NZ in particular Maidstone Yamaha to support these girls while in NZ the support and recognition for our Australian Female MX riders has been incredible.
