Paul’s extensive resume includes more than four decades as a competitor, winning multiple Australian and national championships, and 35 years as a rider coach. The new partnership will see him represent Yamaha Motor Australia in the upcoming Australian dirt track championship in both the Pro 450cc and Over-35s classes, riding a 2019 YZ450F.
Yamaha Motor Australia is excited to announce multiple Australian champion Paul Caslick as the newest member of its bLU cRU family.
Paul Caslick: "My best years as a competitor were spent with Yamaha, and to be back in blue is an honour. I’m looking forward to being involved in any way I can. I love what I do, and I’m still passionate and motivated by the motorcycle industry – it keeps me feeling young, fit and healthy."
Nick Marshall, bLU cRU: "The opportunity to have a legend of the sport as part of the bLU cRU was an easy decision for Yamaha Motor Australia. Paul’s passion for the motorcycle industry and his enthusiasm for junior rider development fits perfectly with the Yamaha bLU cRU mantra. We are thrilled to welcome Paul to the family."
The nine-time Australian dirt track champion may have recently celebrated his half-century, but he’s showing no signs of slowing down or losing his passion for the sport. Regular competition is combined with his role as Development Manager for Motorcycling NSW.
Paul attributes his passion for riding and rider development to another Yamaha legend, Stephen Gall, saying the five-times Australian Motocross champion and four-time Mr Motocross winner represented what just about every kid wanted to be during his junior racing years. “I’ve been fortunate enough to accumulate numerous state and national championships during my time as a racer, but the biggest reward I’ve received from the sport is an unwavering passion for the industry”, he said.
