Yamaha blasts into 2025 with new WaveRunner lineup

Yamaha is excited to announce the 2025 WaveRunner lineup, headlined by the completely new, designed from the ground up, JetBlaster Series.

This exciting new watercraft is expected to take the rec lite market by storm, with its edgy styling, striking colours and affordable price point, introducing a whole new generation of riders to the WaveRunner brand.

The 2025 line-up also sees the introduction of a new factory installed audio system by Yamaha, additional display screen functionality on select WaveRunner models, and new colours and livery across the range.

JetBlaster Series

The 2025 JetBlaster Series sees the launch of a completely new hull and top deck design, that is shorter and wider than it’s EX Series predecessor. This more compact design delivers tighter turns and increased stability, allowing the rider to push the ski even further, for more adrenalin pumping action.

Below the waterline, the new hull design incorporates Yamaha’s Sheet Moulded Compound (SMC) material, a proven on-water performer, with its durable properties and striking high-gloss paint finish.

Above the waterline sees the introduction of Yamaha’s first-ever reinforced polypropylene deck, incorporating a sharper and more aggressive design styling with improved riding ergonomics, making this craft a standout in the rec-lite market.

Under the hood is Yamaha’s award-winning, extremely reliable and powerful TR-1 1049cc marine engine, incorporating a new jet pump housing that is lighter, more corrosion resistant and with improved serviceability, taking Yamaha’s reputation for reliability and durability to the next level.

The new JetBlaster series comes in four model variants, starting with the very affordable, two-seater JetBlaster, which comes with an LED screen, watertight glovebox, tie hooks and stern deck mats.

The next step up is the three-seater JetBlaster Deluxe, which sees the addition of Yamaha’s exclusive Reverse with Intuitive Deceleration Electronics (RiDE) trigger control, dual mirrors, bow storage, reboarding step and two-tone stern mats.

Finally, the premier models in the line-up are the all-action JetBlaster Pros, which comes in two and three seater model variants. These high-performance watercraft offer the ultimate in freestyling riding capabilities, by combining the versatility of stand-up with that of a sit-down ski.

This pair come with the more powerful TR-1 High Output (HO) engine, a 4.3 inch feature-rich Connext Screen with Drive Control, Yamaha’s exclusive RiDE control system, a reboarding step and custom two-toned deck matts. The three-seater (only) also comes with dual mirrors and a tow hook.

To fully harness their freestyling abilities, the JetBlaster Pro models also include custom-tuned electronic trim, giving the rider the ability to pop out of the water, do spins and other exciting manoeuvres; built-in footwell chocks which allow the rider to adjust their stand-up riding position when freestyle riding; and wide-mounted motor-cross style handlebars for improved leverage over the ski.

New Speaker System

Also new for 2025, is the factory installed audio system by Yamaha, which features specially designed speakers - from Yamaha Corporation, which specialises in musical instruments and audio equipment - that have been tuned and optimised for great acoustics when out on the water.

The new larger 6.5 inch speakers replace the previous 4.5-inch factory fitted speakers, delivering improved volume and overall sound clarity, as well as a stylish new design aesthetic.

In a further improvement to the riding experience,  the speakers include an Auto Volume Adjust feature, which automatically increases the volume as the craft accelerates, and reduces the volume when the craft decelerates.

The new speaker system is now available on all GP, FX and VX Cruiser WaveRunner models.

FX Series Line-up

The 2025 FX line-up sees all new colours rolled out across the supercharged SVHO 1.8L FX Limited SVHO, FX Cruiser SVHO and FX SVHO models, and the 1.9L naturally aspirated FX Cruiser HO and FX HO models.
