What is the defect?
Due to a broken shift mechanism torsion spring, riders may not be able to select the desired gear.
What are the hazards?
Inability to shift gears properly resulting in difficulty in manoeuvring the vehicle while riding.
What should customers do?
To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign, whereby affected models must have the shift mechanism torsion spring exchanged with a new counter measure one.
You should contact your local Yamaha Dealer to set up an appointment to have your model remedied free of charge.
