Yamaha has been leading the way in the 115 horsepower four-stroke category for over ten years, with exceptional models that have proven the true value and versatility that a four-stroke outboard can deliver Australian boaters. With its increased engine capacity and a weight reduction of 15kg, the latest generation Yamaha F115 offers the best power-to-weight performance in its class - while maintaining an extremely fuel efficient and smooth operation that Yamaha four-strokes are famous for. This engine utilises a 16 valve, dual overhead camshaft design, electronic fuel injection and big bore throttle body to deliver awesome acceleration and mid-range responsiveness. The 115 horsepower is now available in both signature Yamaha grey and new pearlescent white colour options, in both long and extra long shaft length.

Features & Rigging Componentry
1832cc Four-Cylinder Engine
The 16 valve, 1.8 litre, dual overhead camshaft design delivers superior efficiency in the transfer of intake and exhaust gasses throughout the RPM range. The F115 incorporates larger intake and exhaust valves which enhance response, efficiency and mid-range torque.
81MM Cylinder Bore
The cylinder bore size has been increased from 79mm to 81mm which provides more engine torque. A larger valve was adopted for increased transfer efficiency for both intake and exhaust.
Counter Rotating Propeller
This engine offers a counter rotating propeller option for improved steering control for twin engine setups, ensuring the vessel maintains a 'neutral helm' at any speed.
Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection
The Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, injects the right amount of fuel into the combustion chamber at the optimum timing, for ‘first-time, every-time’ hot and cold starting, improved fuel efficiency, excellent throttle response.
The crankshaft design is offset 5mm from the centre of cylinder for more efficient transfer of power to the crankshaft.
Shift Dampener System
Yamaha’s Shift Dampener System (SDS), built into selected Yamaha propellers, delivers smooth and quiet operation when shifting in and out of gear by absorbing the force that is created.
Single Ram Power Trim and Tilt
The compact and light-weight single ram power, trim and tilt (PTT) unit and bracket have been developed exclusively for this engine.
Variable Trolling Control
Yamaha’s variable trolling control allows the skipper to precisely adjust the engine’s idling speed from 600 to 1000 RPM in 50 RPM increments. The ability to finely tune the trolling speed allows fisherman to perfect their lure presentation when chasing different species of fish.
Remote Control Security System
Yamaha's optional Customer Outboard Protection (Y-COP) engine immobiliser system is easy to use and highly effective in stopping unauthorised start-ups when your boat is unattended. Simply push the button on the neat and simple remote to lock and unlock the engine.
Conventional - 6Y5 Round Gauge
Yamaha’s conventional digital multi-function gauges provide the real-time data required to maximise outboard performance and fuel efficiency. The two gauge illuminated display options provide rpm, trim, oil, speed, distance, time, overheating, battery, fuel economy/flow/consumption stats.
Command Link - 6Y8 Round Gauge
Using Local Area Network (LAN) technology, these digital round gauges provide accurate and real-time tachometer, speed and fuel management stats, including fuel flow/consumption/economy (up to two tanks), trim level, battery voltage, push button trolling speed adjustments and more.
CL5 Premium Touchscreen Display
The all-new, low profile Yamaha Command Link CL5 touchscreen display is small in size but big on information, features and capability.
This display is suitable for all Yamaha Electronic Fuel Injected (EFI) engines and can monitor up to four outboards. It's sophisticated, modern design features intuitive operation and matches the latest boat console trends, while its compact size leave more room on the console for other electronics.
703 Side-Mounted Control
One of Yamaha's best selling controls, this mechanical remote offers comfort, simplicity and flexibility. With its new ergonomic grip, reversible right-hand or left-hand installation, and convenient trim and tilt operation, this control offers all-round functionality and value.
6x3 Concealed Side-Mounted Control
With its stylish chrome finish and ergonomic design, this mechanical control not only looks good, but provides effortless one-hand operation. The trim and tilt switch is comfortably located on the handle and features easily accessible neutral warm-up controls and externally adjustable throttle friction.
704 Premium Single Binnacle Control
This highly-polished, stylish looking, top mounted control allows for effortless one-handed control. The ergonomic design features a thumb operated trim and tilt switch built into the handle, as well as shift and throttle control functions, for convenient and comfortable operation.
704 Premium Twin Binnacle Control
This highly-polished, stylish looking, top mounted control allows for effortless operation of twin mounted outboards. The ergonomic design features a thumb operated trim and tilt switches built into the handles, as well as shift and throttle control functions, for convenient and comfortable operation.
Genuine Yamaha Propellers
Prop choice makes a huge difference to outboard acceleration, top-end speed, handling and fuel efficiency. That is why Yamaha continues to push the technological boundaries in the design and development of our leading range of high performance props - ensuring every Yamaha outboard performs at its peak.
Yamaha Shift Dampener System
Many of Yamaha's mid-range and high horsepower props come with Yamaha’s exclusive Shift Dampener System (SDS). This system absorbs forces created when an engine shifts in and out of gear, resulting in a quieter, smoother and ‘clunk free’ shifting.
Alloy White K Series
These props deliver Yamaha's high-quality design and performance in a low-cost, lightweight propeller. They offer a good all-round choice for Yamaha outboards, coming in a wide range of sizes and pitches to suit every power requirement.
Alloy GP K Series
The newly released aluminium GP introduces a renewed blade geometry and Yamaha’s Shift Dampener System (SDS) for ‘clunk free’ shifting to the K series of props. Suited to lighter hulls, this exceptional prop delivers improved acceleration, speed, fuel economy and anti-ventilation.
Stainless Steel SDS K Series
These polished stainless steel props deliver exceptional anti-ventilation properties, allowing for increased engine trim range, improved bow lift, greater fuel efficiency and better handling. They also come with Yamaha’s exclusive Shift Dampener System (SDS) for smoother and quieter shifting.
Multifunction Tiller Handle
With the latest technologies, ergonomic design and features, Yamaha's optional Multi-Function Tiller Handle delivers effortless control, maneuverability and comfort. Trim, shift, throttle, stop switch, variable trolling and integrated overheating and low oil pressure warning alerts are all built into the handle.
