Tamara Gray extends championship lead at Thunder X

30 Aug 2010

Tamara Gray took the round win at Green Park Conondale over the weekend at the third round of the QLD Natural Terrain Thunder X Championships.

The Queensland Yamaha Girls Team rider took three straight wins from three starts in the senior women’s division which continues to build on her unbeaten streak in the series.  A lead in the points is looking good for the Bayside Yamaha rider who is chasing her fifth championship.

“Conondale is always a treat to ride. It’s been a good few years since I last got to ride here.”

“The track was slick and with the races shortened to three laps it was crucial that I rode smart and made as few mistakes as possible.  The decision to put the new Pirelli tyres on this week was a good one.”

“I have been really enjoying the riding in the series and my YZ250F is really performing well.  The tracks have been fantastic.  I am looking forward to what the last round has in store.”

The fourth and final round of the series is scheduled for October 10 at Echo Valley Toowoomba.  A fantastic opportunity for Tamara in the lead up to the Australian Women’s Motocross Championships scheduled a fortnight later.

Tamara would like to thank; Bayside Yamaha, Fox, Motul, Ward Racing Developments, Alpinestars, RK, Kustom MX Graphics, Pirelli, GYTR, JT Sprockets and Dirt Bike Chix clothing.
