Streaker Boats of Melbourne has released a limited edition Yamaha VMAX powered bow rider package that delivers superior performance, stunning good looks and a special BMT price. The Streaker hull and VMAX outboard are colour matched to present a strikingly distinctive package.

The Yamaha VMAX 150 is a high pressure direct injection outboard that offers the very best attributes available in an outboard engine – the classic low weight of a two stroke, the power and grunt needed for top performance plus the low emission/low fuel consumption of a four-stroke.

Streaker Boats has matched the VMAX 150 to their 545 Sirocco Bow Rider model. This sports boat is one of the most popular models in the Streaker range, with the company experiencing a resurgence in popularity.

The Streaker package comprises a limited edition Sirocco bow rider presented in custom VMAX livery. The hull features contrasting white and black gel coat colours with “powered by VMAX HPDI” decals along the sides. The upholstery has the VMAX logo embroidered into the back of the front seats.

On the dash Streaker has fitted all the latest Yamaha digital instrumentation with comprehensive engine performance data together with accurate fuel flow information. And best of all, the complete boat-motor-trailer package is factory rigged right in the Streaker factory.

On the water, the Yamaha VMAX punches the Streaker Sirocco up onto the plane in a snap, with the engine winding out to a healthy 5800 RPM for a top end speed of 80 km/h.

According to Brett Hampson of Yamaha, the VMAX HPDI engine is an unheralded performer.

The thing that sets a Yamaha VMAX HPDI apart from the competition is its high pressure fuel pump that supplies small uniform fuel particles to the fuel injection system. These particles are injected into the combustion chamber at 700 psi for greater atomisation. This means cleaner, powerful & more economical combustion.

The Yamaha VMAX HPDI engine also utilises an oxygen sensor that adjusts the air / fuel mix for the most powerful and efficient combustion in all conditions. This technology improves fuel economy, reduces emissions and improves power and reliability, particularly at low speeds when combustion can typically be at its most inefficient.
